DIY - Aviary - Sketch of the Frame
So I took some advice from a couple experts and drew out what I wanted to scale. Here's what I have so far for the frame. There were a handful of concept designs, but I think this was what made the most sense in terms of constructability. Btw, I used Google's Sketchup program to CAD it out. Most wood pieces are 2"x2", but the actually size of a 2"x2" is really 1.5"x1.5". There will be 6 replacable window panels (shown in purple) that can be interchanged or modified. I have a light on the top exterior, and a towel rack just above the drawers.
I want to give thanks to Erik Tamai and Thomas Jaimes for their advice.
PS. One of our canaries just laid an egg! I didn't know they did that without a presence of a male canary.
